If you don't own a Wii, you have a decent personal computer, and/or want higher resolution / keyboard and mouse control... then you probably should consider Steam version as long as you aknowledge that the Steam version doesn't in all cases work as well as the Wii version and in fact is broken in some rare cases.
Either way you cannot lose. RE4 is a good game.
If you like 480p that is. Also, the shader fix does a lot for it.
I'm sure the Wii one runs at 1920/1080 with Anti-aliasing x8 AFx16 and 60 FPS.
♥♥♥♥ out of here with that nonsense. I'm guessing this person probably played it on a toaster.
Personally, I'd go with what is easier for you the customer to deal with. Do they still make the Wii if your console breaks? Then that's not necessarily a bad choice. Do you like Wii controls ? That's another plus. Does the HD PC remake actually work as intended? That's a plus for it.
I'm not buying a Wii, so that's out for me. I have the old RE4 PC HQ for pc, but it does not work with any mouse mod. So I'd have to replay with keyboard. I can relearn but it will take days to get good enough.
If this game was $10 or under, it's an instant buy for me. This Steam Sale has not been as good, so far, as I expected and I have the other RE games I want (6 and Rev) so I'm good there. I may plunk down the extra 2 bucks onto RE4 HD PC just to see how good it is.
I have one concern. How optimized is it? I'll ask that in another thread right now.
