Resolution problem

Why there is only 1 resolution (1280x720) and why I can't change it any help?

maybe some toruble with downloading the game? maybe check cache files and see if this helps.

already did that, reinstalling video drivers doesn't help too, still can't change resolution

Go to this location ---> C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\my games\Capcom\RE4

Next Open the Config.ini (with a text editor, like notepad) and then manually change the resolution from "resolution 1280 720 60" to "resolution 1440 900 60" (for example if you want 1440 by 900 dpi).

After you do this save the file and do not go into the games' video settings menu when you run the game (doing so will let the game reset the resolution back to 1280x720). Simply run the game, it will run at the higher resolution.

This should resolve the issue but there must be some other problem going on (as you should not have to force the change in the config.ini file)... for example if you re using a monitor or tv that's maximum resolution is 720p or 1080i, then in such a case, the game would only be able to display at the 1280x720.... again thinking something else is going on, it is a curious problem.

still nothing my monitor support other resolutions this is happening only in this game, worst part is that game screen is stretched (no black bars) and I dont like that

What kind of TV or Monitor you're trying to use?

what resolution are you trying to have? almost most games use the resolution you use in windows. i have a 21.5" monitor and i my max resolution is 1920x1080. RE4 was for me already at this resolution.
