Is There a Control Mod
These controls are the worst ive ever played as a shooter type game.. Is there mods that fix this?
K/M movement is my main issue.

stop being a wimp and get use to it.
sadly I enjoyed the atmosphere and the dialouge and everything, but uninstalled due to the horrible movement /controls

Thank goodness I got it on a bundle, I may try it again sometime when I have patience but this is poor, no idea how they sold this game at all on pc

You need to remember the game was designed to play this way, it was designed for game pads (controllers) 10 years or so ago. I agree the controls are ♥♥♥♥ by todays standards but 2004 or 2005 games don't have the best controls.
Half Life 2 or Halo 2 did a fine job in that era lol. This game would of been even better as a FPS instead of 3rd person, seems like the biggest problem.

Like I said ill give it another go soon, I really want to like this game

Keep in mind that this game was a universally acclaimed success when it was released, named "Game of the Year" by many magazines and and it sold like water. That goes to say how much people cared about the controls over the game itself at that time, and how gamers today are so spoiled they can't even handle simple tank control style anymore.

Give it another go with an open gamer mind and you'll have one of the best gaming experiences of all time.

We have fainth in your gaming skills. Overcome the game and you'll see how great RE4 is. I suggest not trying to use the mouse camera that much for movement. You're supposed to just walk and run in tank controls. Use the mouse just for shooting or if you really want to look something up or down.

Yea I keep getting confused when aiming a weapon (aim on left stick instead of right stick). It's not the norm. You don't aim with a left stick. Nutty. I'll get used to it anyway. I suppose there is an option in game that switches the sticks for aiming; haven't looked enough yet.

It's not a normal 3rd person shooter it's mix between action 3rd person shooter and classic survival horror. I find Type 2 is the best option but you might like 3 so you can use the left stick. This is a game where you can't move and shoot at the same time so it's not gonna feel like GTA or mass effect it's not that kind of shooter. Just get used to it and enjoy one of the best games of all time!

Oh if you aren't using a control (preferably xbox) you're gonna have a bad time. Sys requirements even specifically recommend that controller. When a game does that it means don't play without a controller unless you're willing to deal with that

I think it works 10 times better as an 3rd Person shooter for the fact that it's survival horror and both FPS versions of a resident evil game granted they were on the Wii sucked haard

the controls are fine and the game is built around them. you push up(W) to move up, back(S) to move back, right(D) to turn right, left(A) to turn left. right mouse to ready weapon, left to shoot. space to ready knife, R to reload ect. seriously the controls are fine and outside of moving and shooting are about on par with any shooter released today. in terms of controller setups yeah the stick placement is the opposite of normal, but you get used to it. its not a big deal.
