Tips for Krauser fight on professional?

I am trying to get my last achievement from the game which is complete on professional and I can not seem to get past Krauser no matter what I do. I know the quickest way is knifing him but every time i tried that I would miss a QTE and he would kill me in one go. So instead of wasting more of my time I decided to load back and get more health items as well as an rpg thinking that would kill him instantly. I rpg him so many times but I guess he's immune to it??? I get that his arm thing is in the way but I can not seem to find a perfect time where his chest area is exposed because he's so fast. I started this at 11 and its 1:32 pm. Im giving up for tonight but I want to try again later so if anyone has useful tips please tell me because this fight is so unnecessarily hard and I know people have beaten him in less then a minute.

Ironically, you ended up wasting even more time by trying to stop wasting time with the knife. Killing him with the RPG is more gimmicky than the knife because you need a clean hit.

You literally cannot go wrong with the knife, it's the faster and the easiest way to kill him, so much that some people while doing challenge runs even ban the knife on krauser, to make it even harder. The knife is your best option to tackle that fight.

Everytime he does an attack on you he opens himself for a hit, if you knife him at that moment he will get stunned and his attack won't complete. The only thing that will probably hit you is the leg sweep he does, but then you hit the QTE and Leon recovers.

Get him close to the ledge so he has nowhere to retreat during the animation he does when you damage him, that way you can lock him in place. I forgot the exact number but some good 11-12 knife hits will kill him.

i would recommend missing the first qte on purpose (the one where krauser says "prepare for your death, leon), when you recover, you are on the edge instead of being in the middle.
next step is to go to the left a bit and turn back, wait for him, aim the legs and knife when he gets near, if you can stick him into a corner, it's nice but not a necessity, rinse and repeat

nail all QTEs, remember the pattern, for me its always either X and C or Left click and right click. get away from him, shoot at his knees to make him kneel on the ground, and aim at his head with a 30+ damage weapon, shoot 2-3 times, dodge him, shoot the knees.. do that 5 to 8 times and you will kill him

In my experience the weak points are the feet..whether with the knife or with the magnum, try the combination of both
