Yeah, it takes getting used to again if you're coming off the other RE remakes like two and three but I'd say it still holds up for the most part. Oddly enough, the single stick shoot/move control scheme feels best for this since you can't move while aiming anyway.

Well i never play any RE game before do i lose something if i play this?

Yeah, the game is great! Has aged like fine wine. Doesn't have any problems with modern PC's in my experience. (Windows 10) The gameplay might take a while to get used to, if you've never played RE4 before, but you'll get the hang of it, and it just becomes super fun.

And I think you can easily play this game in isolation. It gives you a short summary of what happened in Resident Evil 2 (Leon's previous, first appearance) and that's all you really need.

The only problem is the QTEs in my opinion, they can be very hard to pull especially on Pro difficulty. Locking the game to 30 Fps seems to help though. But other than that yeah the game is still great.

That one QTE scene with knives.... still gives me a hard time. Glad that part got changed in the remake as much as I did love the original scene.

It is 100% playable, had no issues playing after installing the game. But I would suggest downloading HD project, to make the game look and feel more modern.

If you mean the cutscene one I actually find it the easiest because I cheese it, I keep hitting mouse buttons and X and C and it automatically passes them lol. But yeah otherwise it is very difficult. You can't do this spam in the middle of gameplay unfortunately.

Yes, make sure to download the HD Project. Search it on google and download. Done and have fun

The HD project comes with a tool called ''RE4 Tweaks'', which allows you to do a multitude of things, one of which allows disabling QTE's. I'm not actually sure *which* QTE scenes it disables, though... the tool says ''disables most of the QTE's''. I haven't used it personally, but it's an option if you really hate them. (The tweak tool is also standalone)

Definitely good and also still playable, hell I even say the OG RE 2 and RE 3 are still great if you can handle tank controls.
