I bet you didn't set the mouse settings to "modern".
Same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem. Got any other brilliant claims?
I saw this port had support for mouse and keyboard and I'm irate because I built my entire Friday night around this game just to find that this game operates quite terribly with my setup, it's "playable" with a mouse, but it is beyond clunky as words for description.
:/ I'd much rather play this on the Wii than PC. Especially after finding videos related to bugs / balance problems with the game due to FPS being higher. The idiots who ported this clearly did not playtest this AT ALL.
I don't have the issues you're describing there. Your problem exists between keyboard and chair.
Personally I'm just happy that we even got the RE4 to Steam. The way I see you is that you're just seeking attention and not an actual help. Why are you crying, stomping the floor like a 12 year old, and swearing here about the problems you've encountered instead of working on how to fix them?
Maybe there's something in your computer that makes it behave like that (e.g. your anti-virus software)? What about contacting Capcom's support about the issues? There are plenty of things you can do. You have an attitude problem.
No, since I never had your "problems" on my 100h of gameplay.
Some mouse with the highest dpi possible? pff.
My Bloody [www.bloody.tw]is working flawless with this game.
Not sure what your problem is, but the mouse aiming on this game is fine.
I use Classic Aim + 21 Sensivity btw.
Of course the aim is delayed. For two reasons
1- It is locked at 60 fps.
2-The game was designed this way by that time, and it ran at 30 fps. What did you expect?
I was already expecting that when i bought it.
Telling people not to buy it because you're not good enough is hilarious.
I shot 3 axes in the air once and knifed the incoming 4th one. The Merchant's shooting games were an absolute cakewalk Get better.
What not everybody knows is that this port will not have V-Sync off unless you force it on your driver control panel.
It's pretty funny that Daikatana has a similar issue. If V-Sync is enabled the loading screen takes ages to complete and it causes loading screen's short "tick" sound to be repeated so many times that it becomes little annoying. Forcing V-Sync to be disabled from display driver's control panel fixes the issues with aiming in Daikatana and the loading screen.
And Dekonoga, considering you're going to judge someone who jokingly goes by the name Noobii and quotes off my something silly in my profile as a way to insult me ... then topping it off with pretending to be useful with mundane information as if you aren't hypocritical trash, well ... let me just say I wasted time reading your reply and in replying to you right here.
Finally, before I get back to it, Crusta, you aren't worth the reply, but I will tell you what I expected. I expected a lot more out of Capcom, and Steam for that matter. I expected that this product would be playtested and made so that many fans could enjoy this game in HD, not have this half-assed product that doesn't honestly belong on "shelves" to be sold. That's what I expected. Is there something wrong with having some expectations or are you simply that much of an ignorant and casual fanboy who doesn't care about quality, or anything for that matter?
I have my v-sync forced off using Nvidia control panel (and have for quite some time now), so the mouse delay isn't even an issue for me, it's the poor tracking the game has for aiming. Furthermore, if you had the ability to read, sir Rain, you would understand that I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about mouse delay, but rather that I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about poor mouse TRACKING.
And now beyond just mouse issues, I used a little google-fu and even searched around on the steam forums to find that there are other overlooked issues that are in place due to the FPS increase. Such as increased damage from enemies grappling you, increased rate of fire from NPCS sitting on a machine gun turret, faster fired rocket speed from npcs, boat animation in Ada mission going literally twice as fast as it should - and the list goes on ...
But judging by that right there, I can tell that this port was barely playtested, if even at all. Yet here we have a bunch of fanboys like Rain here, who I'm going to seriously deem as a bunch of ignorant casuals, that are defending this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port where others like myself are rightfully upset with it, by insulting my ability to actually have an eye for quality, unlike yourselves. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
I'm going back to Dead Space 1 again as a good comparison because it was also was an analog control to PC / mouse&keyboard port similar to RE:4, but the mouse aim issues were nothing compared to how terrible this is. At least I could cap off my FPS at 120 on DS1 and increase my sensitivity for a more consistent and enjoyable experience.
This port, however? 1-30 mouse sensitivity range, "Classic" vs "Modern" (with no description of what either does) and then my FAVORITE part is that there are NO audio balance options at all. So between ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with mouse DPI and trying things like setting it way higher than I want to, and the limited crap this port provides, I've yet to make the mouse tracking any kind of enjoyable experience for me.
Sorry guys, I guess I'm not casual enough to enjoy a half assed product, nor fanboy enough to stand beside a crappy product and pretend that it's gold either. ♥♥♥♥♥♥' sue me and talk more ♥♥♥♥ while looking like a bunch of ignoramuses at the same time, please! I have no problems with this, as you can see, it is rather fun when idiots step forward to have themselves put in place.
For a "remastered" game, they sure didn't remaster anything at all, hell, from what I've read they actually missed some of the textures in the game, I've yet to verify that, but I don't feel that's even necessary with what I've already run into thus far. It feels like a wonky piece of ♥♥♥♥ for a port.
I absolutely love RE:4, especially the remake they did for the Wii, but this particular port was a huge letdown compared to what it could have been. They simply tarnished their gem due to laziness and simply wanting to push a profit.
Lastly, for those of you who don't like my attitude ... you don't *have* to read any of this, let alone even reply! But you *chose* to ... so really, that's your own damn fault. Deal with it.
Cheers <3
Also inb4 idiots don't read this, say something like omg too long didn't read, and then furthermore reply without reading anything at all and simply looking like the idiots they are, yet again. I'm looking at you, Rain. ^^
I already knew that.
Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.
Well, your google knowledge doesn't told you that most of those issues were fixed alongside with those six patches the game recieved? And I am the one who doesn't know how to read. pfft.
You have the right to criticise this port as much as I have the right to disagree with your opinion.
This port is a low-budget project. What did you expected? This port is a million times better than the original 2007 port, that's enough for most of us.
Interesting.
Why the obssession with me? you are clearly desperate for attention, like many others who came before you.
I understand your opinion about this port, but I don't understand the need of come here trying to imply your opinion as being the absolute truth and call everyone who disagree a "casual player who doesn't care for quality"
Yet, you call us idiots.
Amusing.
If I'm not mistaken, YOU are the one who has come here to MY thread and replied to me multiple times. Furthermore, any time you offered "help" it was done in a condescending way in which you act as if I have not tried this solution you offered up which was running purely on assumption alone ... without even engaging me in conversation at all first. If you had not been such a condescending ass, I wouldn't have singled you out. You literally brought the attention onto yourself buddy.
So yes, I came here and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (quite angrily), because I'm irate and thoroughly disappointed with this port, but I'm not desperate for attention as you so seem to imply. If I were, I'd have a lot more than this single and ONLY thread I've ever posted here on Steam. But I have legitimate problems with this game, as do other people, and if you have all this magical google information you speak of, perhaps you'd like to provide some links to back up what you're saying so that at least you have SOME level of credibility? That would be nice, rather than you seeming like all you do is run on assumptions and then like you accuse me, act as if what you say is the only truth of the matter. You really are a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
As far as I'm concerned, I am not alone in being disappointed with this port. Hell, you did say it yourself that this port was a low-budget project? That literally goes hand in hand with AND supports what I am saying about this being a crappy port.
Thank you for your help, I suppose.
Sorry that my initial post prompted you to engage in such an argument, looking back, my first post was excessively vulgar - but that's after an insanely huge disappointment thinking the experience would be amazing, when it is far from it. And I'll say it again, me "obsessing" with you was your own doing, much as you yourself have "obsessed" with me. Some people just seem to think their own ♥♥♥♥ doesn't stink.
Ahh ... how amusing ... ;)
