Buy a rocket launcher just before the fight. Make him feel the cold with an azote bottle to slow him down. Then terminate him with the rocket launcher.

1 hit. A surprise at the end.

There is a rocket launcher before you get ashley right after Sera's death, save that until the fight. Freeze him and then directly hit him.

You don't have to kill him if you don't want to. He can easily be avoided without shooting once until the elevator arrives. I do this all the time since I only do runs with the starting pistol only on a fresh professional game. That's if you want to save your rocket launcher for another boss or area.

IMO Verdugo and Krauser are the 2 toughest boss battles, and I enjoy killing Verdugo every time I play RE4. He is pretty easy on normal, but for professional he requires a lot of damage. If your like me, and prefer to not use the RL then you need a lot of magnum, rifle ammo, and grenades. You can get him to miss each attack if you walk slowly, then run right before he goes to swing.

There are 4 or 5 Nitrous cans, if you use each one to freeze him and unload as much as you can into him each time, he will still be alive but he shouldnt require to many more hits after that, just try to make sure they are headshots. It is also possible to knife or melee him when he is frozen to help conserve some ammo.

Incendiary grenades magnum and also the rifle is good to use against him. This will net you a lot of pesetas when you add the jewel to the crown!

I find both bosses easy, especially Krauser since you only need the knife to kill him quickly.

the knife is surprisingly op against krauser but its still a good battle especially for newer players, verdugo is not easy unless you skip him.

The 'right hand' can also be killed with the knife only, as well as U3 (It). I have done it many times.

No you did not, since I said ONLY. And why would I read your late edits? I've beat the main story(pro) and Ada's side game with the knife only many times. Obviously on some parts, the knife can't be used which is VERY little. Every single enemy can be killed in the main game with the knife only except Salazar(not including the striker glitch), and Saddler(he can be knifed on Ada's side game though); and of course a few other enemies that you can't reach. And let me clarify what ONLY means in this sense; this means not 1 single shot fired.

extreme quantities of ignorance detected. there are no "late edits" you quoted my posts lol... your the one who suggested skipping verdugo to save the RL for "another boss" which wasnt what the OP even asked... you try way to hard to be a "ballbuster" lol

You're the only ignorant one since it clearly says that you edited your post. Yes, I did quote your posts and you the fact is that you didn't say ONLY which is different than what I said. I know this game better than you, and I will still give my advice. And I only suggested skipping him as one of the things that can be done. I don't know how the person plays, it's called giving different suggestions. It's not like I play that way anyways. One of the easiest ways to kill him is to use the RL which is quite obvious, why I did not say that. Another way is to use the door trick and knife him ONLY after you've used all of the nitrogen tanks. Or you can simply use the door trick without touching any of the nitrogen tanks, but it will be slower obviously. Keywords,"KNIFE ONLY" which you clearly never said so no, you didn't "already mention that." And I don't try too hard to be a ballbuster since I am one. You're just a typical idiot, that's all.

Killing Verdugo on your first professional run without a Rocket Launcher is sort of hard. You will have to freeze him with all 3 canisters and don't miss any of your magnum shots. Also make sure the magnum damage is upgraded to its full extend up to that point in game.

You will possibly run out of magnum bullets at the 3rd canister while he is still frozen, so quickly put in a few TMP or shotgun shells into him. As soon as he's un-frozen, throw a hand grenade below him, and he will die. I don't know, in every fresh pro run I've done that's how I always killed him. He always had just enough HP left over for a hand grenade.

Reloading tip: Reload as soon as the dodge prompt appears as you run from/to canister rooms. The reload animation will be cancelled with your dodge animation.

Finally a helpful contribution! Thank you so much. The reload tip was extremely helpful.
