Infrared scope all black - glitch

Enjoying the game but things have come to a grinding halt. When I got the infrared scope and equipped it the scope is all black (kind of an off purple) color when I'm looking through it.
I found VERY LITTLE online talking about this.

I'm found this tread from GameFAQ's: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/187182-resident-evil-4/74245215?page=1 – And this deals with the game being played the PS2

And a couple other references to this kind of graphic glitch in the emulation community, but no other reports or references to this problem cropping up for anyone else on the PC / Steam platform.

Any help or suggestion are most welcome!

Did you ever find a solution to this? This has happened to me on my 2nd playthrough of the game and is extremely annoying (especially with how it was fine on my first play)
