Resident evil 4 wont launch, just brings me back to desktop

so i've tried using cru but it doesent seem to work.
I've also tried installing gedosato but it doesent seem to wanna install.
I have been searching everywhere for a solution but can't seem to find one, help please.

My pc specs are as follows:
Windows 10 home 64-bit
Cpu-AMD Ryzen 5
RAM-16,0GB
Motherboard- Aorus Elite B450 (AM4)
GPU- AMD Radeon Saphire RX 5700
SSD-Sasmung SSD 860 QVO 1TB¨

edit: looks like CRU is not optimal for AMD cards

hello friend ... the Gedosato works only if you change the UEFI mode in the BIOS, you must disable it for it to work.

Then start the gedosato and then the RE 4 HD game, delete the config file for my friend ... Well I hope that helps.

on my 5500 xt any drivers after 21.3.1 make the game load in the background with sound but you can't make it full screen

so i'll have to uninstall the radeon software and reinstall version 21.3.1? Or can you somehow just install the previous version like nvidia cards?

I would use Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall your current graphics driver and then download & install Radeon Software version 21.3.1.

I had the exact same problem with this game (using an RX 5700 XT) until I did the above.

Had same problem and fixed instantly when reverted to 21.3 AMD adrenalin driver.
