Co-op mod?

I can't belive nobody has made a co-op mod for this game, I have seen co-op mods for a few games, like Bully, Subnautica, and Skyrim, but I would think that this game would be the highest priority for a co-op mod since it's so popular.

Like, why doesn't a co-op mod exist yet? It's surely possible if it's possible for Skyrim.

Well, RE4 is a pretty old game, it's literally just an upgraded port from the PS2/Gamecube version. For someone to make a CO-OP Mod for RE4, they'd have to basically remake almost the entire game. The only plausible thing I can think of is someone controlling either Ada or Ashley, but for Ada: It would break the game because she's not supposed to be with you at all. And for Ashley: The 2nd player would only be able to play about half the game anyway and would have to hide behind Player 1. It just wouldn't work.

this has nothing to do with the ps2 version
the port path for the UHD version is
GCN > Xbox360/ps3 HD version > Wii HD version > PC UHD version

the path youa re refereing to is the one for the 2004 PC HD version which is
GCN > ps2 > PC HD version

Well even then, everything else stated, there would be a LOT of code rewriting inorder to pull off co-op. The port path doesn't really affect anything, was just stating that the port came from Gamecube

Mate someone already made a coop mod for re4 its in beta and its buggy and will crash but overall u can still play it i haven tried it yet cuse i am re-downloading re4 rn but the progress is there and i am sure the dude will continue his work on it also there are some people that are developing the coop mod with unity engine so we`ll see how that goes here`s the link for the mod btw : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNskhok81rU
