Will returning to main menu really reset the game all the way back to the beginning and erase all my save Data?

It says it'll reset the game back to the beginning if I just return to the menu screen. Legit there's no other exit I can find to the menu and if I have to use task manager to close the game because simply returning to the main menu resets the entire game then that's kind of a bummer.

Are you playing RE4 or the RE2 "One shot" Demo ?

It's poorly worded, but it means it will reset the game to the Title Screen (as if you have just launched it). You aren't losing any data unless of course you haven't saved.

I'm at the farm in the beginning of the game and I've got 7 blue medallions and just got this pearl necklace from this well last time I played

I thought the same thing for almost a whole playthrough, you're not alone.

But it just means "quit " and I guess someone screwed up on the translation. So don't worry about it.
