No HUNK mods for Leon?

So I guess noone really has made something to replace Leon in the main campaign..

Is it really that difficult to mod for this version of the game?
Or there simply is no interest?

I can't personally vouch for these, but residentevilmodding has a pretty large selection of RE4UHD mods that are compatible with the steam release.

Already checked there plenty of times. And while I did find plenty of mods that do work for UHD... There really wasn't a mod to do what I wanted.

Glad SOMEBODY did it, still dunno why the devs went through all that trouble to force Hunk to use ONE gun only...

Thanks for the suggestion, tho I've never tested this and I am unsure if it'd work.
Honestly, as of late I was downright considering of learning modding the game *just* so I could finally get what I wanted.

Incase You don't know, there is also another mod that does this for UHD (and it's the one I guess people have been using the most). It's unfortunately incomplete (Ballistic vest breaks the HUNK model and reverts it to Leon, sort of) and the dev has no plans to update it anymore.
It also honestly changes hunk's textures and the like to make him edgier and darker looking.. which could be seen as kind of cringy (I find it more unnecessary than anything, personally).

Yeeeeah I realized embarrassingly late that this must have been for the sourceport original version and NOT UHD. But I'll try this one out and see how it works, saw the vid before but I Thought it was the same mod haha, thank you!

The mod you linked works, although I still don't know WHY the mod files can be non-.lfs's and still work, they do! =D
(At first I thought I had to convert them manually, but that achieved nothing, embarrassingly)

Don't quite remember a thing or two about the file formats and what not :S
..But hey, glad You got it all to work! (Just remember the ballistic vest You get in game completely breaks the character model. Sucks ass if You'd want to play professional difficulty with that little bit of extra help.. But hey I am not quite sure it's "mandatory" anyways..)

I had it on before starting Newgame+ but fortunately you get to see the merchant before starting again heheh. As much as I like the vest, I can do without it... and I have so much cash I could buy it 20 times over anyway lol

Yeah... With just how much damage You receive anyways and how much it's all determined by RNG (and whatever other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) You are better off to save the cash for more useful things.

Hey lads, sorry to bother this old thread. But after looking for a way to get hunk to replace leon in this game for like 3 hours. This finally solved it for me, so thanks a lot for your help.

But for some reason in my game all of my gun textures are bugged out, like the texture of the gun is put on the weapon itself and it just doesn't match it. So it looks a bit strange, it's not a big deal. Took me like an hour to notice, but still was wondering if it's just me or if anyone else had the same issue with this mod

Oh damm... (in case it censors I just said (dam)age) not sure what to do about that one, never had it happen befor. Other than file validation or reinstalling I dunno what else you could do

Honestly after spending so long on just getting the mod working, I'm scared to touch ANY of the files haha

But I watch the video where the files came from, and the guy in the video didn't have any issues with gun textures. And I don't think the Hunk mod files change any gun textures either? So I don't really know where the problem is coming from tbh

Did you fiddle with any other mods or tweak something? Did you play before the Hunk issue within a short period? Guess you could aaalso try snooping around on the OG non-Steam forums, someone else mighta had a similar goofup

I find it quite amusing to see that there is a perfectly valid HUNK mod (There is SEVERAL actually) that does exactly all that we wish for and without issues...

For the remake.
