Tactical Vest + RPD uniform

On my first game, i bought the tactical vest which provide 30% protection.
Then if i load on the new game+, is the 30% protection still used? Even if i used the special 2 outfit (RPD uniform).
Or does it stack up to 60% defense? (TV + RPD)

Specials only change Leon's and Ashley's appearence. However, special 2 turns Ashley impossible to kill. So yeah, only 30% are being used for protection vest.

well that's unfortunate, but the 30% still apply on any specials right?

It doesn't stack. But you can unlock a suit of plate armour for Ashley that makes her slippery and invincible, though.
