Item:Resident Evil 4 (ROW)
Aquisision Method: Steam Store
where exactly did you buy it from? was it a key if it was the staff person may have been thinking you got it via an unsavory route maybe.
but also remember there is multiple support staff, so expect differing responses.
if you bought it via unoffical seller, stuff like that happens very easily as wrong vers.
since you never know which your getting.
not sure what capcom will say honestly, which that also goes by who you get connected too as in staff wise.
also you refer u bought ur copy from canada, what do you mean by that.
i should also mention, if you bought it via steam, or an offical seller ur chance is raised with help via steam, as they can probally tell what keys were bundled and such.
but yeah best support chance tends to be with direct buys thru steam.
Neither company's staff is willing to even acknowledge there is a version issue, or even able to shed light on which different versions there are out there. I cant understand why both companies are passing the buck here. What terrible consumer practices on both their parts.
I think it comes down to who you talk to, and so far I am dealing with two lazy or incompetent employees on both sides of the fence refusing to help. I don't know what to do here.
and if not, sadly to say just keep trying till you hit someone who will help.
but make sure you explain things fully as that will make things go more smoothly.
Thanks for both your feedback... it gives me hope I'm not going to get ripped off. I have contacted Steam staff again, and am waiting for a response. I told them the whole story.
So hey Fenixx what version are you running?
It's almost like Steam is a marketplace or something.
Yes most saves floating around out there are old, but there are newer ones that you can load with some knowledge of how to edit the files.
Validate game files by right clicking it in library.
Then beat the game.
