Steam Deck Feedback/Settings
Firstly it's running out the box, full controller support and no issues.

Appreciate it's an early demo and so things like performance and optimisation will follow - the default gfx settings run a bit hot and choppy. There are a lot of things we can tweak, like render scale, DoF, blur, glitter (!) which help improve the frame rate, still feels a bit choppy though especially when you do a big turn on the course and the distance stretches off in front of you.

Clearly this is going to run and be fine on the Deck, and being such an early demo not going to spend too much time in the settings at the moment looking for something optimal.

I recall with the first game hitting a sweetspot myself of 40fps and a decent level of prettiness.

I am hitting solid 60 after reapplying default low settings (I don't think they are set properly at first) and disabling both depth of field and shadow quality. The rest might be different deck performance settings or a hardware skew.

Indeed my first impression with default settings was pretty "choppy".
I used the low preset and than turned the snow track to tesselation, shadow to medium and anti aliasing on. From Steam I locked the game on 30 fps.
So far I like this setting on the Steam Deck except when you go faster, than the picture gets "choppy" and uncomfortable again.
