Possible gamebreaking bug?

So, I think it's awesome that this classic got a release on Steam.
Also I didn't have any problems starting or playing the game up to this point. (Win7 x64)
So I'm near the end of the games, when...

.. I notice that I only have 3 Statues to place on the mechanism in the machineroom. I could have sworn I got them all. So I go back to the places where you find them. As I recall: Dorm at the Stairs, garden, library 1st flor office, library 2nd flor balcony. They are all gone and I only have three. I think I'm missing the one with the hands behind it's back.

Am I missing something here? Bad memory? I just can't find it.
It would really suck to not be able to finish it now.

EDIT:

So after carefully rechecking with my savegames I have determined that I got all four of them, but lost one by dying right after picking it up and reloading. It's the only thing that comes to mind that happened.

So if you are still playing, watch out and check if you still have an item, should you die right after picking it up and decide to reload a previous save.

No, that wasn't the problem. I picked up the statue - died - reloaded a previous save, and after that the statue was gone from the place where you find it, and also (because the save i loaded was before i picked it up) gone from my inventory.

After reloading an even earlier save I was able to pick it up again and finish the game.

Hm i think i head simial issue - i imported my saves from Original Obscure from GOG (just played it few days prior release), and i saved in a 2nd building in front of 2 monsters and some corpse they was eating, once i loaded this save, mosnters and corpse gone.

So I've had a similar problem, but even re-loading a savegame from before first visiting the Dormitory doesn't fix it. I cut the lock off of the dorm's door, go in and kill the 2 beasties, go up the stairs, and there's no statue.

Wat do?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's not on the landing anymore, it's in a trophy case on the first floor.

@ReverendSalem thanks, had the same, was searching like idiot near the stairs etc but it was in trophy case, camera doesn't helped me tho
