Single Player recommended?
One of the reviews mentioned that this game is almost impossible to be played alone.
I am interested in buying the game but I would play it alone.
Would you recommend playing the game as single player?

I have been playing this game by myself for about two hours or so, and I would say that during that time I have found it perfectly playable with only one player. I am able to switch quickly between characters in certain situations, and the AI has so far done a good job of not getting in my road. It even lends decent support when needed. I have never played it before, and it's a fun survival horror reminiscent of the old Resident Evil games on the ps1. I'd recommend giving it a try!

Its probably like how people hated ashley in RE4, I wouldn't buy into it to much.

Thank you PhilDawg and Ev3rNites. I guess I'll give it a try then.

For normal mode I think it is not much of a problem. For the Hard Mode I would guess it would be easier with a human player.
Depending on the review you read the statement may be meant for playing co-op. If you are playing together with another human you have to work as team, talking to each other, pay attention who uses which weapon and ammunition, who decides the direction you go and so on. It sounds a bit strange but playing for yourself in co-op mode will be impossible.

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Absolutely. You can have your AI partner simply wait in the sanctuary and play the entire game alone.

They may be referring to attempting to play the game without the AI partner getting themselves killed - which is true, that may be impossible on account of how impossibly stupid they are.

But I've completed the entire game on Normal, Hard, and Special just by myself. Very doable, and fun.

EDIT: Saw the review. They were referring to playing the co-op without working with your partner.

What are the rewards for playing all the difficulties?
Normal unlocks Hard
Hard gives new Outfits to the characters that survived (did you manage to let them all survive?)
and what's the reward for special?

i completed the game on every avaible difficulties about 20 times ALONE (i played this game for years before steam). and its fun, absolutely playable with AI. dont mind those stupid "impossible to play alone" reviews and comments. this game is still great and fun. and high replayability in my opinion
