Not worth buying!
Demanding 30 euros for a game that is almost 30 years old is very bold and completely unacceptable. The nicer display thanks to artificial intelligence does not justify the price at all. We have been served the game again and again over the years with some changes. After Broken Sword 3, Revolution Software has not achieved anything noteworthy in the gaming sector. Revolution Software have rested on their deserved merits of the 90s and have become very complacent. Maybe it's time for Charles to retire and let in some new blood.

It's not compulsory that you purchase, you know.

I'm a massive BS1 fan and this, for me, is the best since that time and I am pleased to relive the game.

Did you clap yourself on the back for this post?
Just don't buy it. Get Broken Sword 5 or do something else worthwhile with your life.

And what about the new dialogue lines that had been recorded back then but never made it into the original game but are in the reforged version? This is not just a simple "let AI upscale everything and puke it out to the players" like the GTA trilogy definitive edition.

How many diaolgue lines made it into the reforged version? How many lines justify a price like that? A dozen, two dozen etc...

The whole of Hollywood has been on the remake track for years, but people are upset about a game getting new graphics and thereby being introduced to a new generation? Seriously?! I think it's trolling behavior to care about a game that you don't like the remake of. Completely pointless comment.

i played the original 1 ,2 3, 4, backed 5 - i played directors cut 1 and remaster 2 and i backed this one for physical collectors edition and i would do it all again

I understand that you may not like the games, but saying that someone should retire because of it is very rude.

Beside, Broken Sword 5 is a good game.

im a big Broken sword fan and i still play the original to this day. and i have to agree 30 euro is a bit much. Unless im missing something it just looks a little better right?

I don't agree with Cecil's retirement, but I do agree that for me it's too much to pay for 2-3 hours of gameplay (I'll probably finish it that soon, as I remember almost everything from my previous play-throughs).
I'll rather wait for the Parzifal's Stone.

I wish The Longest Journey would receive a remaster/remake as well. That’s an awesome adventure game.

The thing is - Reforged almost doesn't feel like a 30 y.o. And absolutely doesn't look like one.

Well, is it the same script to play the game as the original one ? If so, all the fans (almost all) already know what to do to go through the game and it it not a real challenge anyway.

IF, it is not the same script, it is worth it!

And the answer is …

TLJ already has a fanmade AI upscale. It looks amazing, and if you have the steam version you can just google the patch, apply it and enjoy.

I played it for almost 3 hours.
You can switch between the original and remaster, the difference is huge, not just a little.
