Yeah, an Remake of that would be great. Play the Original with 3DFX on Win 10. It´s cool and the Storyline is great. Get it from GoG.

Why the new Aquanox-Title coulnd´t that get in, esp. the World and Stroyline. That botch of the new Game is only 1-time Playable then again only after it get a big refit / rework.

They'd have a much better product if they just reskinned AD, honestly I am now seeing Deep Descent for what it is.. They picked up an old IP with a cult following, knowing it had people waiting for the next installment in the story, and released a crappy instanced semi-open world POS with a half assed story and enemies that don't even have AI.. They're just scripted to fly directly toward you, attach in a static fashion to whoever is dealing the most damage to it, and shoot back.

Enemies in MMORPG's have more AI than enemies in Deep Descent.

remake only graphics, do not need new systems and do not need at least something from this game only the ORIGINAL story only the original quests and mechanics change only the graphics

The flight animations when you dock on a station alone did so much to the atmosphere. The spoken text "Station ABC, 3200m"... The soundeffects when the big dock door opens. The cracking of walls under the extreme pressure, the dripping of leaking water. Let alone the excellent badass (at least in german) voice overs. Is that so hard to reproduce? The new game is okay, i like the combat and the stations and so on, but the afore mentioned small details are missing, which makes a classic.

Despite the fact motion sickness denies me playing Aquanox DD, I would really love an up to date remake of Archimedean Dynasty / Schleichfahrt with only upgraded graphics but with the old sounds. As Vidder said, the whole sound effects in Archimedean Dynasty were perfect; and have never been matched by its successors.

I would kill a thousand puppies for a proper remake of Schleichfahrt / Archimedean Dynasty with updated graphics, the simulation level of Schleichfahrt, the old story and an open world to freely roam, trade, do contract work to slowly upgrade your ship, or buy new ones.

The problem (for me) is that I'm obviously not allowed to use IP like original places, names and so on. So it just could feel like AD but never would use anything of the story

No problem, make a new one in this setting. Lots of other storys to tell. And the names of the places of our ocean should be public domain.
