Go Devs make it happen!
What is this AD/Schleichfahrt you speak of? I was, and still am, a HUGE fan of the Aquanox series. Was this another game made by the developers? Is there an ENGLISH name or translation or was this game even available in the USA? Thanks
Schleichfahrt was the german title of the game. The english one was called "Archimedean Dynasty" (I shortened the it to AD in my post). I can only recommend it if you have not played it yet. You can find it on GOG or other sources (just google it). It might look a bit dated but its still a great game with a great story. Back in 1996/97 I was so immersed in this game - it was just perfect (for me).
Cheers
Even if that never pans out they will have already had to alter the games design to allow for them.
Not only that they will have likely had to adjust the game to fit the target audience, a certain demographic if you will.
Neither simulation nor tactical depth beyond a standard console title (and for PC players this usualy means NO tactical depth at all).
That doesnt mean its a bad game. Its just not what people expect or waiting for.
There was no momentum, no turn-restriction and it didn't feel like a sub at all. It was just like Doom underwater.
While I preordered Diluvion I will hesitate with this title. Gameplay-wise I don't want to see another Aquanox.
