Pink Screen on game open

When opening the game up, i get the opening lines showing up in a blurry pink text (unreadable), then the whole screen loads up pink. If i move the arrow keys or press on the screen, i can hear sounds as if menu items are being selected, but nothing changes with the pink screen.

I have closed\opened the game, same issue. Have run the game outside of steam, same issue occuring unfortunately. About to reboot, but i doubt it will fix it at this point.
Any ideas on fixes?
