And the changes to maufacturing really push for automation in a good way. I still will likely need a suprising amount of copper and tin bars (stampers mostly) to make a smoother throughput for things like LWMF (1 stamper can make enough plates to make roughly 1 LWMF every minute, you need 6 stampers per LWMF maker for fastest throuput).
I sincerely suggest T2 stampers, extruders, and coilers perhaps pcbs as well. 8 per machine a minute is slow, and will certainly either need more machines to do the job (not hard just the set up and crafting will be a bit tedious late game) or more effective machines (even if the T2 ones are 50% faster thats still a noticeable throughput long term)
Also I finally killed a cryo spawner with the inferno turret the other day and as soon as it died a message popped up with the thread disk crash error and I clicked "ignore" and everything seemed ok but when I went to exit the game afterwards, it did its saving thing than started to do the compression bit and nothing was happening even tho the icon was animating, I left it like that for like 1/2 hour and the progress bar never moved at all so I had to close FC with task manager.
BTW the minecart unloading station is still causing graphical glitches (even after the latest patch).
Using manufacturing plant or self-craft, unable to use the same keypress I used to enter either, have to use esc.
So far, aside from that jarring quirk (bug? unintended feature?), I love the streamlining of basic parts DJ, thank you muchly. This alone will reduce the size of my manufacturing areas. Have yet to toy with rooms, but they look promising.
Another less annoying quirk (bug? unintended feature?), is the mouse position really is remembered when entering and leaving GUI's, was this on purpose or something Unity gifted?
The new machines, have the same issue as the coal enhancers, they will not feed onto a convayer unless it is pointing straight away from them.
Overall the start fills kind of slow. I am used to hooking up my copper and tin to the main smelter, with several 100 output hoppers hooked to it. So while I am out exploring, getting iron and getting reserch points, I come back to several hundered bars of copper and tin. I thow my iron ore into the smelter, and in few minutes after getting back, I've got a bunch of convayers and hoppers to work with.
Now, I cant make hoppers or nonbasic convayers till I get tin plates, copper wire, iron gears and LWMHs going, which means I need to make a bunch of minihoppers, and then make the plate machines, (and make plates) and then make the wire machines,(and then make wires) and then make the LWMH (and make more plates to feed into it) and then make the iron gear machine( which I have to make more platers for since they use plates instead of bars), so I can finally start making hoppers so I can have more than 10 of a given output and start replacing basic convayers with faster ones..
After I get used to it, and have a better feel for the build order, (and how may damn stampers in total I'm going to need) it should be ok, but I felt very babysitty when I first tried it out today.
Havent finished the game yet but i think its time for a restart! :D
(You need to build this 3x3 controller, open it and put lift inside)
Or what Wariat117 said.
