Conveyor turntable problem

Just yesterday I noticed the conveyor turntables stopped working as well. If one of the four directions has nothing (i.e., air) in it, the turntable stops spinning. This is a recent regression; my existing distribution systems stopped working.

Even better: Two pics! #1 and #1. The first has items coming up from below; the second has them coming in from the side.

Still unable to reproduce. The first pic doesn't have a storage hopper on TOP of the conveyor, does it? O.o

Yes, latest bleeding edge. And yes, there's a hopper on top of the conveyor. It allows me to manually inject things into my distribution system.

I don't recommend having storage hoppers touch turntable belts on horizontal EVER - that said, vertical *should* be fine. I appear to have reproduced it using a hopper on top tho.

I can work around the problem by putting any block in the fourth position: space window, conveyor, stone, whatever.

:) Yeah, I've tried putting a hopper next to a turntable. Weird things happen. I mean, I think the behaviors are consistent; it's just not a very useful configuration.

I think I see the issue. Should be able to resolve it.
