Falcor (especial Logistic Falcor)
Why does the Falcor only work on the surface?
In fact the use of Falcors is mainly only to pick up the Loot from the Attackers (Who can not build on surface Level 1 Convayors to it`s base... I think everyone did this till the time he has the Falcors)
But they would be a cool thing for underground transport.
I remember the not working AI Movers, the Logistic Falcors are (in my eyes) compareable but working... if you could use them underground.

Falcor's work just fine underground for me (I'm using logistics falcors to transport plasma heads I make on the surface to my mines), do you mean the beacons? I know they need sky clearence.

The simplest answer would be movement blocking". That's only a theory but since Falcors fly, they need unobstructed ways for their movement and this is only on the surface, in the underground you have all the rocks and walls in the way and it would bug out.

That said, have some logistics FALCORs that are located beneath my main base, and still work fine, flying through the base's platform to get to their beacons.

I would like to see FALCOR Beacons being useable in somewhere like the Cold Caverns, however, especially considering the Frozen Factory business going on down there, but Beacons currently need sky clearance to function.

How are you getting the falcors to deliver underground?

I put the falcors on a hopper near my ore extractor and the beacon on the hopper with the plasma heads. I don't do anything special that I know of, but the falcors do have to be within range of the beacon (I forget how much that is horizontally)

Yea, but why do your beacons work? Mine do not work, because they wanna be on surface.

my beacons are on the surface, just the falcors are under ground

Wat brings us back to: they work not underground.
Sure you cna use them in 2near surface" Operations (Up to their maximum senserange to find the beacon)
But not general.

Wait - FALCORS that are underground can see Beacons that are on the surface? Does this mean you can use them to ferry drillbit heads to your extractors?

As far as I know, the falcors don't have a verticle limit on how far they can go. I'm using them on my biomass extractor at -500m, their range is horizontal.
