How do Falcors work?
Can someone explain them to me? I get the feeling they can be useful but I am not sure how to set them up and make them do their job.

The normal falcors or the logistics ones?

The normal ones are made to pick up all of the organic stuff that gets dropped on the ground from the flying creatures your turrets kills. Put up a beacon near where it drops, provide a bit of power and it will automaticly pick it up. You the have a central processing site where you're going to process all of this loot. You connect a bunch of logistics hopper with belts and set up a falcors around the hopper. They will now pick up the loot and deposit it there.

The logistics falcors are made to help you automate stuff in your factory. If you have something low throughput that you need transported, they're the answer.
You put beacons on top of hoppers with the stuff that you want transported. In the other end you set up a logistics falcor next to a hopper and set the falcor to pick up the stuff that you put in the beacon.
This is what I use for fuel distribution for my turbines amongst other things. You can set up many beacons with different stuff in them.

Here is a use for a lot FALCORS, I make a collection point, like so:

Once I have gotten to the point where FALCORS are automated, it's a simple matter to have them deliver finished goods to your collection point. Then all you have to do is pull them from the hoppers as you need them. I use matter movers underneat the floor to deliver items to the bottom row. The bottom row is for things you need hundreds of.
