FortressCraft Evolved

anyone heard of xenominer on xbox 360?
another indie space block mining game i use to play almost as often as fce is called xenominer for the xbox 360.

its more like minecraft, in that mining is manual and time consuming, thusly requiring you gather resources by hand.

the planet has no atmosphere, and so daytime is ironically a bad time to be above ground due to the sun's radiation. all suits have okay radiation shielding, which gives enough protection against the sun's rays to be out during the day, but damaged suits have less radiation protection. even the radiation-spec suit has almost no protection when badly damaged, said suit is also easily damaged.

the planet also has extremely low oxygen. thankfully, there are oxygen making machines that use the abundant ice on the planet. to function, they need a sealed room. they also only produce oxygen in a small area, and so, to fill a large area with oxygen, and so you need vents to spread it around the room.

power is created via solar arrays and transmitted wirelessly(like giant induction machines), with the area of coverage dependant on the tech level of the array and relay system.

the relay system increases the distance you can be from solar arrays and storage units, from 10, 50, and 150 blocks.distance. if done right, relay systems can be used like power lines to allow you to access all your base's supplies from hundreds of blocks away.

storage units require power, but again, are fed power via solar arrays wirelessly so long as they are within range. when powered, storage systems are accessible via scrolling through them in the inventory.

late game, the highest tech stuff becomes available, and it all requires the 'final tier' resource, endurium. endurium is extremely radioactive, but very useful in high tech stuff. it is also extremely rare. HOWEVER, endurium spawns most frequently on giant floating islands. it is also easily distinguishable due to its intense green glow. however, colorfulglowing crystals are also abundant underground and on the floating islands. green is also the most abundant color of crystal underground. it is the least common on the islands. red is most common on the islands. however, endurium is most common on the BOTTOM of the islands, making it so that mining it is a hassle since you cant fall very far at all without dying and losing all your inventory. thankfully, the game has aweosme gravity boots which allow you to treat either of six directions, up, down, left, right, forward and backward, as the ground.

there isnt really any threat to your base, but the only mob is hostile, and it spawns from nests which are somewhat rare. they are very fast and can kill you easily. each nest is minimum 9 blocks in diameter, and spawn in modules. the biggest nest ive found had 4 modules maybe. 1 in 3 modules have an egg sac in the center, which will spawn 1 xenomorph every 10 seconds, up to a max of 3. the egg sacs will spawn eggs until they are dug up, and will spawn xenos again when placed. i kept all the egg sacs id found and eventually used them to make a big nest below my base, kinda like a jurassic park...lol. well not really, its just one exhibit, but i have many egg sacs left, and i will likely redesign the whole thing to be something like jurrasic park the next time i play lol.
