Does it produce transport pipes, or something else?

It creates Pipes as an intermediary craft which can then be crafted into other things such as missiles and high energy fuel cells for the turbine power generator.

An example would be:

Iron bar into pipe extrusion plant, which turns it into an iron pipe which can then be fed into a fuel canister crafter which produces an empty fual canister. Then filled with biomass or refined liquid resin at a reactor Vat to create fuel for the turbine.
