Linux, Windows?
Also, to the above poster, "the only currently functioning dedicated server" is not an accurate statement at all. What you meant was the only public one. Plenty of people are running non public servers. I myself am running one right now.
NOW, I will say I'm in Japan and my friends back home in Canada. That SHOULDN'T be a factor but just might be. Either way, I'm at a loss.
I actually did mean to type public, thought I did but apparently not. Will fix that now.
You said a few weeks ago it worked, thats quite anoying for sure. coudl you give me the IP to the Server in a PM? bacause my servers are runnign as intended and it looks like they are reachable from the internet.
Titanium Jesus, if you're technically inclined you can use a packet sniffer such as Wireshark or SmartSniff on the server while people are trying to connect to confirm that your router/firewall is working as expected and the packets are getting through.
As im sure someone pointed out till now, the IP service DJ uses for gettign the IP and going to the server List is discontinued so you would need to tell youre friends youre momentary IP. but as you said, its stable and they cant get on the server even when they type it in manually
Last time I debugged this I would just restart the game and add new exceptions to it until I found what was needed for the port tester to get a response from the server. After that clients had no issue connecting.
I tested the firewall already, it had no effect.
And @zebra. Thanks for that, I'll be using it this weekend when I've got more than an hour to ♥♥♥♥ with things.
