Report a translation problem
It's a little clunky as you have to take a whole stack, split it, then put the unwanted stack back where you got it from, but on the other hand I don't really use it much either as I generally find there's little need too. Most of the times I want to do specific quantities it's into hoppers so ctrl/shift-T does the job, the rest it's for little-used crafting ingredients which I mostly keep in a crate pile I have line of sight to from roughly where I stand when making stuff, I don't even bother splitting the stacks mostly and just make whatever I need then dump the residue back into the crates to get it out of my inventory again.
