Coal Enricher to Coal Infuser

I have coal going into a coal enricher. I just unlocked the crystal coal infuser. I had always planned to just drop the infuser next to the enricher and have a nice neat design. Howerver thisdoes not work. The infuser seems to only want to put and pull from hoppers. Is this a bug, or working as inteneded?

No need for hoppers, but they do need at least a conveyor/tube on each side. So put one between your enricher and infuser.

Not space efficient, but that seems to be how they work.

I wish they would just feed directly into each other.

the game is abandonware, i have followed and enjoyed the hell out of the game itself but the nutter in charge only talks about himself (in the strange way the mentally unbalanced homeless do)

I would skip the frozen expansion it is anemic as all hell, and hope another nutter has the vision this guy once did.

I have done more testing, if you feed an enriched coal into a infuser, it will process one, and then stop. I have not been able to get it to output to a convyer belt at all. What I ended up having to do was build it enricher-> convayer-> hopper-> infuser-> hopper to get it to work.

I am going to assume that it is a a bug, and report it as such. If anyone knows otherwise, I would love to know why the infuser acts differently than the enricher.

After more testing and a post by pHredric showing a working version, found out the problem is that both enhancers and infusers will not output onto a convayor belt unless it is going straight out in front of them. If the convayor belt is turned to the side or if it is feeding into the top or bottom, it will not pass onto it. I would still like to see an enhancer pass directly into an infuser, but by going enhancer -> belt -> infuser -> belt I was able to get it to work.
