Splitting materials evenly on conveyors
Okay i want to do the reverse of the zippermerge.
But the problem is the turntable is unreliable at splitting the materials evenly.
Is there a better way i can do this?

There is a mod on the workshop that adds a splitter I believe. Other than that, there is no sure way that I know of.

Saturate a supply line ending in a hopper (logistics or storage), have two lines come out of this hopper: both lines will be saturated afterwards (= equal distribution).

Of course this only works when that particular material is abundant in your system (usually limited to ores and bars).

You could also try mass storage with two ports on either side, though I am not sure how effective that can be for your specific case.

As far as turntables go, I don't have any bad experiences with them, from what I can tell they always do what they are supposed to. I do know they have some specific placement requirements though (apparently don't place them next to a hopper, and be sure to have the turntable facing the right direction).

does your belt coming into the splitter only have like 1 item ever minute or 2?

On a fully loaded belt, I use a normal hopper. The belt puts 100 items/min in and two belts coming out each get 50 items/min, which seems like just about the perfect rate to feed smelters with mk3 induction.

I think logistics hoppers output slightly less than 50 items/min, so not ideal.

i thought logistic are around 10/min?

This is the mod you're looking for:

Without that mod, there is no sure way.

You can try to feed a hopper faster than two conveyors can remove from it, and that'll work. Until you run out.

You're right. Turntables are uneven and slow and sometimes block entirely in my experience.

That actually looks like a really good mod too.

I can get a full supply line working, but the problem is with full belts when it comes to switching the system out im going to have problems.
