Today I also got a small new update for the game, which include many bugfixes and changes reported by some players!

• Added the ability to remove traps that did not yet explode
  
• Fixed a major issue that could cause the player to be soft-lock during the introduction if he did not have anymore ressources to build a trap
  
• Reworked projectiles physics to fix projectiles glitching through walls and floors
  
• Fixed an issue in the construction site area that could cause zombies to spawn in areas that could not be reached by the player
  
• Fixed an issue that could create a corrupted save file when opening a bunker
  
• Fixed various issues with save files that could load incorrect datas
  
• Fixed an issue that could cause zombies to spawn directly after respawning, which is not intended
  
• Fixed and improved AI path finding in several areas of the map
  
• Improved performances at night in foliage-dense areas
  
• Fixed an area that could cause the player to fall under the map
  
• Improved collisions on several objects across the map to allow for better navigation in the map and avoid collisions that could stuck the player

• Fixed an issue that could cause some menus to not open at low framerates

Hey everyone!

Dead Alone is now officially available in its 1.0 version!
After more than 3 years of work, i'm really excited to deliver the final version to the game and release it!

The Demo Version of the game as received an update as well. This update aims to give a better representation of the gameplay experience that the game will offer. The demo is now a bit longer and has been updated with the latest build of the game to include all the improvements and fixes made recently.


With this 1.0 release, there have been a lot of changes and improvements made to the game since the last beta version. Let’s check the most important ones in the patch notes below:

• Optimisation
  
  • Large cpu performance improvements which should result in better frametime stability and better framerates overall
    
  • Fixed various audio/graphical issues and improved gpu performances on several areas of the map
• World
  
  • Added many world interactions accross the map in the survival gamemode. Those interactions include various puzzles to access supply chests and hidden gear
    
  • Zombies can now spawn in free roam to add more challenge to the overall exploration experience and make the world feel less empty
    
  • Global polish on the whole map to improve collisions, navigation and gameplay
    
  • Fixed an issues with tree leaves that could block or deflect bullets in some conditions
    
  • Fixed various collisions issues with some buildings
• AI
  
  • Improved overall AI behavior and animations to make it move in a smoother way
    
  • Improved AI navigation in several areas of the map, this should reduce instances of AIs getting stuck or being unable to reach the player
    
  • Tweaked AI attack behavior to be more consistent with the animations
    
  • Improved hit detection on zombies
• Weapons
  
  • Fixed a major issue that could cause the crossbow to wrongly deal damages to the player character
    
  • Reworked the way reloading work to end the reload actually at the end of the timer and not a few seconds after. This will make reloading a lot faster and less penalizing than it was
    
  • Pressing the sprint input while reloading will no longer cancel the reload
    
  • Fixed an issue that caused the weapon swap animation to be slower than intended if reloading
    
  • Fixed an issue that allowed to see and equip weapons that are not unlocked
    
  • Weapons are now automatically reloaded on death
    
  • Improved and reworked various gunshot sounds
    
  • Fixed an issue that could cause newly equipped weapons to have the wrong appearance
    
  • Bullets will no longer ricochet on zombies
• UI
  
  • Added an option in the new game menu to skip the tutorial introduction
    
  • Reworked inventory layout to only display the most relevant informations
    
  • Updated brightness setting to affect the entire game, menus included
    
  • The blood overlay is now less visible when the player’s health is above 50HPs
    
  • Fixed an issue with the crosshair wrongly displaying an ennemy indicator in some conditions
    
  • Reworked and updated some tutorials
    
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the tutorials to block the player’s progression

• Balancing
  
  • Rebalanced most crafting costs
    
  • Improved the ground loot system to avoid confusions on which items have been looted or not

• Miscellaneous
  
  • Fixed an issue that could break the day/night cycle by sleeping multiple times
    
  • Improved projectiles physics to reduce instances of projectiles going through the ground
    
  • Remove walk stance as it could be confusing if triggered by accident
    
  • Fixed various issues with player’s death
    
  • Added visual and audio damage feedbacks to all kind of damages
    
  • Added multiple auto saves at some important moments
    
  • Sleeping will now properly regenerate your stamina
