V1.02 Panic crash

So im getting a V1.02 Panic DirectDraw failure.
Looked at some of the fixes and none of them worked.
Any ideas?

Windows 7
AMD phenom II 3.4ghz
Gefforce GTX 670
32 inch Sony Bravia as monitor

For me the only time I seem to get the panic crash is if I hit space to go through the credit cinematics. If I use esc it goes through fine.

Its happening when i try to launch the game

So far, it only happens when I go to quit the game. I'll hit the confirm button and then it'll have the Panic Crash.

There's supposed to be a V1.04 patch, but it's not in the Steam version. Which is stupid.

I've had it happen a few times now. Once on exiting the game, once while on the inventory screen, and once right after getting the bread from the refridgerator right at the begining of the game. Driving me nuts.

I get it on load up. have no idea what this game is about or what because it simply crash's. No incentive to search for a fix for a 80 cent game I got on sale and have no idea of the quality of. Be nice if steam vetted this stuff though.

I played it when I was younger, and I was not the only one to say that if you liked Chrono Trigger, you would likely like this game. It has a cult following that could have been a mass following if people know it better (I feel).

NOW, I did have difficulty with Van hellsing 1, and they worked themselves out. I don't know enough about computers to know if an update was released, but I know that despite my void of computer troubleshooting knowledge, it works after failing to start every time.. Ergo there is hope for Septerra Core. If nothing else, I would say try again every few weeks or so because, you have the ownership now, so why not?

Edit: Mine actually appears to be v1.04 which SHOULD work. Or rather, it USED to work.

W7 x64 nothing but crashing patched and unpatched, compatibility settings be damned.

Hey guys just started getting this error a day ago to which it was working fine for the last few months once i got the v1.04 and tweaked all of my settings to get passed the cutscene issue.

I've only done 3 things since the error started popping up.
1. downloaded and tried to paly Ark Survival Evolved
2. Bought a Geforce GTX 970 Graphics card
3. Downloaded and updated adobe flash (my favorite cartoon site uses it...)

I have a feeling the graphics card messed it up but havent been able to figure out how and/or why yet...

For me, this error appeared in some enemy bosses. Always save before. Your fixes this bug with the invulnerability (cheat command). This one starts first with F12 & write in the command line the start command for the x4 cheats that exist. "imarealweenie" & confirmed with the Enter key. It's best to look on the Internet for the x4 cheats. I can think of only a 2: Sight & enemies. Translated with Google. PS writes clearly that others can respond to you. At that time I played it by x2.

when i meet the "boss" of where you need earpluggs to enter the game crashes after him using a spell of which there is a ring of fire or plasma emitting from its "body" also when battling the stone bosses on the wind city lvl.
also now im stuck on "earplugg lvl" because my ride left, should it be like this ? ( on the one with the toxic mushroom forest where you find the bone for the flute)

When will bosses take the invulnerability simply cheat. Before you go into the room, before activating the cheat. After the boss again to disable. Else there are no experience points. Think the bosses have always spat this cards ^.^


Look on the internet for the cheats. There are I think only 4-5. With the F12 key can also fps type. F12 start the command console.

Ya I should have went for the gog version which DOES have the patch ... only $4 more and I could have been saved all this hassle :(
