Survival Playtest Weekend

The First Survival Playtest for PlanetSmith is LIVE!

This is your first chance to have a look at survival mode, come take part and give us your feedback.

We have added 14 achievements to collect and there are some community challenges and leaderboards that will extend the playtest length.

To celebrate we are having a speedrun challenge running on our Discord[discord.gg] and some special discord rolls you can obtain by taking part.

Also on discord we have a special bug reporting channel, ⁠survival-bug-reports[discord.com] you can use with the new command /bug to send us bug reports about issues you've found. You can also react to other peoples bugs to upvote them in our system so we can see the really important ones that everyone's getting.

Found 2 bugs.

So I was just playing and then I was trying to figure out how to craft then I couldnt build or use anything and I just died from fall damage to try and fix it (because why not) and I tried getting a block and could not pick it up it just teleported to me again and again....

PlanetSmith Open Playtest Weekend!

Greetings everyone!

We're happy to invite you to take part in our first playtest weekend which is now live!

To participate, make sure that you have requested access through our store page and don't forget to add PlanetSmith to your Steam wishlist!

We will also be having a timelapse build contest during the weekend in our official discord which can be joined by clicking here![discord.gg]

To participate in the contest, be sure to upload a timelapse video to either Youtube or Tiktok and include #PlanetSmith in the description for your submission to count!

Once you have published your contest submission, be sure to post a link in the video-contest-submissions channel in our official discord and you will receive the limited time Playtest-1 role in our discord.

We will also be selecting winners once the playtest weekend concludes who will receive the coveted Master-Builder role to show off in our discord.

As this is an early look at PlanetSmith, we do expect there to be some bugs since this is the first large scale play test we have offered. We would appreciate if you can take time to report any and all bugs you find throughout the weekend. What kind of space flight model is thins game going to have?

Are you going with the usual planes-pretending-to-be-in-space thing? Or are you going with a Newtonian torchship model like Outer Wilds? Is it all going to be automated or will we have some control?

I can see this game has promise

While it's still a work in progress. I can see that it's different, will have to wait and see which direction it goes. Will be nice to have something other than Minecraft or Roblox for doing blocks and they are not Square!!!! Hopefully some controller support will be added and the other creative things we all love about the other block games. Its fast too which is nice from all the bloated games out there these days. I will be watching this game to play later again.
