Ultimate Edition vs Original

Hey, I currently own the original game + the first two DLCs (Risky and Friends). My question is, if I buy the 3rd DLC, will I get the stuff that's in the Ultimate Edition, or just the new Shantae game modes (ninja etc)?

If not, then add a 4th DLC or something for the Original with the stuff you included in Ultimate, because personally I'm not going to re-buy the same game, just for a few extras, no matter how much I love the franchise. And I'm sure many others feel the same.

Wait there's stuff that's exclusive to the Ultimate Edition? That sucks. I thought it was just the base game plus all the DLC. :(

I'm deciding if I should get this game but 30$ for the special edition is way too much. I heard the Risky adventure is way short and I don't care that much about the skins. Is the stuff really worth 10$ extra? that's like half of the game's cost...

well possible regional prices aside for me it looks like ultimate edition alone(game + all dlc+ kickstarter bonus) costs half of the price for game itself and all dlcs. speaking about "half game costs"...

They really should just pull the base game of the first edition off storefronts. Nobody who doesn't own it should ever buy it, because Ultimate renders it obsolete.

Leave the DLC available for purchase because someone already with the base game but not all the DLC might want to buy that if they don't care for the Ultimate extras. But don't sell someone a version of the game that can never be complete - that's just scummy.

Not so sure about that. 31 July they added "Pajama Mode" to both versions of the game. So it's still in active development.

However, my take on the Ultimate Edtion? It's ludicrous that they would make a SEPARATE "ultimate" version instead of offering it as an upgrade bundle to the base game. Sure, double the achievements and another +1 to your library, but why? Take the old one off the store and offer an upgrade for people who already bought it.
