No missions to progress on career

I'm trying to make my second flight to get my commercial license but there are no missions on the map. If I zoom out to see the whole world there are a lot of high level missions like fire fighting and search and rescue, but I can't take any of those because I'm only level 2 with only 1 flight. How do I refresh missions to get my newbie missions?

I got my commercial license, though I only have $ 5310.00, and there are no 1 star missions left, there is a couple of choices . high performance exam , tail wheel endorsement and the first helo exam, but will these extras open up more missions ? I looked at resetting my career, but surely we shouldn't have to lose current progress, to obtain more missions , or is it my locality ? from my understanding there is procedural generation daily ? im based near cairns far northern Queensland Australia.

I get plenty of "First Flight" and sky diving missions but the cargo and VIP will no longer load. I select the mission and it zooms in on the map with no mission details and the swirling load icon.

Update: I saw on another forum that x360 users can solve the prob with a reinstall, it does not seem to fix it for Steam.

I think they load in order (on Steam at least). I get first flights immediately, but have to wait a few seconds before more advanced missions pop up.

I start my career as a cargo pilot. I was one flight away from buying a second company, but I had a crash landing. Now almost 200USD gone I have no more cargo missions available. Getting this 200 by an employe pilot will be a nightmare. I hope they will fix it soon, as I don't wont to start career mode again just because of one crash.

I really wish the career mode had a save or backup function. I feel like I'm one glitch away from disaster which is totally beyond my control.
