Yeah, I did uninstall and reinstall just after the patch and did a PC reboot every time after the uninstall (making sure all files & folders were deleted, even deleted my rolling cache) and did the reinstall ( and rebuild the 128Gb rolling cache after the reinstall) but sadly it didn't solve the issue on my end. Don't know what it is or how to fix so the game is shelved for now.
Make sure to delete all content inside these two folders:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\SceneryIndexes
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages
Don't know if it also helps with low bandwith, but surely helps with CTDs.
You could also try to change your DNS servers for IPv4/IPv6 to e.g. cloudflare.
Thanks for the advice. Will give deleting the folders a shot but funny enough I've never had a CTD since starting playing the game. My Internet has always been EXTRA solid with everything else. It's only the latency issue that popped out of nowhere with the last patch. As for cloudflare, the game was running flawlessly prior to the latest patch and my ping/download/upload speeds are 100% identical as they were so I have to assume the problem is on their side as the only thing on my PC that gives me grief is MSFS 2024. Never had any issues whatsoever playing MSFS 2020 multiplayer or any other multiplayer game for that matter.
I have solved these issues completely two weeks back already by simply connecting to the router using ethernet cable. Since then never seen low bandwidth message again.

Could be, but MSFS is not the client, your wifi supplicant is, and yes application wise it could be more or less affected by retransmissions (due to wifi) than others ?
Just to let you know, I am using a LAN and no WiFi and have Bandwidth Problems as well, even my 100MBIT ist working fine so I think it is more a problem on the Server of Microsoft and not any User Problem in most cases!!!
I agree. Regardless, I've never used WiFi for any of my gaming rigs and have a Cat 6 cable connected to my PC's from the gateway and never had (or have) any latency issues with any other games than this one which only appeared after the big patch. So I'm definitely not about to start re-configuring my entire system to accommodate a messy and buggy game released way too soon when 100% of everything else running on my PC runs flawlessly. They just need to clean up their mess which I'm sure will take quite a while to iron out all the bugs in this Indie early access game.
There is definetelly no problem with servers. We are speaking about azure here, the most powerful cloud infrastructure in the world. In most cases it is wanky WIFI, and for the rest it is bad line (copper and not fiber) or a bad provider.
Why is it working for me then at any time of the day?
I don't have no any priveleges. My provider is vodafone. Im basen in Germany. Line is fiber 500 Mbps.
I never have low bandwidth issues. Only when I connect through WIFI, then yes, I have that too.
I have had this problem right from day 1, but today I discovered an article here in this forum somewhere that gives the following information. I followed the instructions and IT WORKED, I can load LOWI (Innsbruck Airport) complete with all the mountains etc in just over ONE MINUTE. It was 11 minutes before I did this modification, and my scenery was still rubbish. but not any more, so try it out.
Use the Windows search bar and search for Notepad. Right-click and select Run as Administrator.
In Notepad, go to File > Open and then navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file.
Delete these entries:
127.0.0.1 kh.ssl.ak.tiles.virtualearth.net
127.0.0.1 khstorelive.azureedge.net
Save and exit Notepad
Reboot the PC
Problem gone !!!!
You clearly arent an IT person man. It is on the server side. Stop trying to be smart
For me its unplayable for weeks now. Same, live in Germany, have high speed connections and never used wifi on my pc. Every other game rocks, no issues.
