We still get 'up-scaling technology' via the inbuilt FSR 2, plus I observe that when the FSR 2 is enabled we also get a small 'semi-frame generation' boost in FPS.
Do you see a slight increase in FPS when you use FSR 3?
Does the AMD Software actually show a green checkmark for frame generation, does Super Resolution work and and what driver version?
I am using 24.10.1 here and no new patches for MSFS.
When FSR 2 is turned on and working in-game, the AMD Software just tells me frame generation is not possible (from the driver side). But FSR 2 does not have it's own frame generation.
So not sure where you are getting your frame generation from.
I'm using the 24.20.19.05 beta driver here
V-Sync obviously has to be off in the game, otherwise there can be problems.

Otherwise it all works sweet and if needed I use Lossless Scaling.
AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 tells me 'Not compatible with the game's display mode.' The mode in use is Full Screen 2024x1296 on a 3440x1440 monitor using the built-in FSR 2 and V-Sync off in-game and in AMD software.
Straight 3440x1440 Full screen and no vsync is the same. Basically all combinations are the same - no AFMF. And nothing in the Community folder does not help.
Have noticed when MSFS2024 is booting that AFMF does kick in for a split-second and then goes to the above error message,
Seems to be the only game with this issue.
No problems for me.
It's quite a mysterious thing.
