I have the same specs and same performance on medium settings. what gives? tried every tweak imaginable

hm, then it will probably be on the server side after all.

yeah... even dedicating large amounts of space for rolling cache doesnt help at all

I average the same as I do with 2020, 30-65 FPS on medium to high settings.

1440p,
3070,
5900x
64 gigs of ram

I am sorry, but a demanding modern game like MSFS2024 in 4K on a 3070?
You can have all the CPU power in the world, it won't save you. IF you are stuck on 4K because your monitor only supports this res you must set graphics to low and increase cache sizes, that is your only hope. You can also try DLSS on Performance mode (but it probably won't help much at all).
You did not mention your internet speed.
All in all your whole setup is very unbalanced and inefficient for gaming. Overkill in RAM and CPU power compared to relatively weak GPU power which is most important for gaming.

first of all, i didn't say a word about my settings. and i don't need any lectures about cpus, gpus etc. i only asked for average fps values. that's all it was.

Hello ;)

U need RTX40 series or something like that .... yes i know it cost but it's good for that game and for VR (if u want to play in vr ..... and if u did it one time u can't back :)

CPU: i713700KF
GPU: RTX 4080 S
RAM: 32 G DDR5
INTERNET: FIBER 1 G
VR : QUEST 2 (with virtual desktop)

Average fps in VR 100 - 115

Good luck and this game is beautiful .... only one negative point is servers lag and that kill the game when happened u need to be patient :/

0 FPS. Hoping to improve.
Dr. Evin Nov 20, 2024 @ 1:48pm
CPU: 5800x
GPU: 7900xt
RAM: 32G DDR5

capped at 60Fps at 4k with FSR quality and more or less ultra-settings. In very demanding areas (large airports with lots of planes) its going down to ~35.
I guess with some tweaking i will get more FPS in citys, but not much more due to my cpu-bottleneck. Need to buy an 5800x3d.

MSFS2024 vs 2020:
2024 delivers so much more performance. :)

I'm running it on High, Ultra clouds, in 4K + DLSS in Performance mode with my 8GB RTX 3070 and 32GB of RAM, it's fine, around 25-35FPS!
