Velocityone Flight throttle control (reverse thrust)
So, I have tried to follow some guides on YT where the detent for the thrust stick is used for reverse thrust (as it is intended). However, every time I try to map the "throttle decrease" by hitting scan and then pushing the stick into detent, it register the button, but beside the button number it also says "scan cancelled". So no matter what I do, the input will always be cancelled.

Any Advice? I have tried keeping the stick in the detent position and also putting it into detent and then back into "idle". No success

It's a button at the bottom of the detent. Figure out which button number it is*. Then select the function you want - honestly, there should be a Thrust Reverse command, but maybe it's tied to Throttle Decrease, I don't know as all the planes I fly don't reverse thrust, so I haven't mapped it. It doesn't matter. This can apply to any control.

Anyway, find the function. On the right of that function is a gear icon. Press that. This will open the Setup screen. On the left is a list of all the buttons your controller supports. Activate the button number on that list for the bottom of the thrust stick and save. That should do it. You don't need to scan for anything.

For me, the scan interrupts if the mouse moves, so that might be the problem. Dennis doesn't know, Dennis doesn't want to know, Dennis doesn't care.

*If you don't know the number, you can look it up online, or use the Windows Controller Configurator, or download freeware SimTrim (see below), and any of these will identify it for you.

Thanks

I restarted the game and tried some more, then all of a sudden it worked. But I will keep your advice in mind for any new problems like this!
