CPU upgrade no performance increase
Today I have replaced my older 8 core Ryzen 7 3700X for 12 core Ryzen 9 5900X.
Benchmark shows +26% single core improvement and 69% multi core improvement, however in the sim I notice nothing. Maybe slightly better loading time, but the performance is same. GPU is RTX 4080 super 16GB, RAM is 32GB DDR4@3200

Did you have a reason to think the game was CPU bound on your computer?
not objectively. I was just upgrading my system step by step. A few moths back I have upgraded GPU to 4080s and wanted to upgrade the cpu anyway as the old one was already aged and I thought it may bottleneck the few years newer GPU. I was also reading somewhere that Ryzen 7 3700x was already bottlenecking rtx 2070 so it was time. I was now not really expecting a massive performance increase, but that there is none is surprising me a little bit. My new CPU after all has more cores and is almost 70% faster at multithreading. MS24 was advertised to profit from multithreading better than MS20, so I thought I would see at least some increase - but no.

In any case congrats it a very nice setup :steamhappy:
Maybe with that kind of rig it would be useful to try out Auto FPS (I didn't try)

yea I actually use it for VR. Its fantastic. I let it tune down terrain lod to 100 when I am on the ground and up to 1000ft AGL and above increase TLOD to 400. Then I have no performance problems at airports with lots of other planes around.
