Im having major issues with this joystick.. plug and play easily in the previous Flight sim 2020 but this version everything is a total mess. not plug and play and pretty much everything is out of wack.. id be here forever trying to set all the joystick parameters in game.. anyone got a better idea? or know how to get this joystick to work without all this setting every single button etc etc
cheers
EDIT**
OK wow ive since realised im not alone here.. seems like this game doesnt support such joysticks.. thats great.. so which ones does it support without issue?

I have it and it works just fine. I did need to reverse elevator and throttle. Make sure it is selected for the plane you are flying. It should show up under controls. Make sure the switch is correctly positioned for PC vs XBox.

Microsoft apparently said they don't. If you look around youtube for solutions, you'll see a number of videos explaining that microsoft doesn't support the use of thrustmaster controls with ANY cloud game. It's a serious issue that they need to resolve. From what I can gather, about a quarter of all players are having controls be ignored by the game.

lots of people have said to do this, but it doesn't work. All controls are completely ignored by the game no matter how they are bound.

There is a MSFS 2024 version of the Hotas 1. I'm pretty sure it IS supported. Do a search for "Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Microsoft Flight Sim 2024" in Amazon or the like.

I'm also pretty sure the quote about not supporting joysticks has to do with their streaming of games from a remote server, not what they are doing here.

Is your joystick showing up in controls? And do you have it selected?

I will admit the whole controls interface, while now quite powerful, is a User Interface nightmare. It is easy to get things set wrong so controls don't work.

I will also admit there are bugs with the controls. Even using a gamepad on the Xbox and following exactly the sequence they say to use, there are times the controls aren't responsive and you need to try several times for something to take effect. But that has not been the case for the basic axis controls like elevator, ailerons, rudder, and throttle.

microsoft itself says this:

"No, flight controllers from Thrustmaster are not compatible with Microsoft cloud gaming:
Flight controllers
Thrustmaster flight controllers, such as the T.Flight Hotas One, are not compatible with cloud gaming or streaming modes."

And again, while I admit this is horribly confusing, that is NOT what is being done here. That is talking about playing a game on their remote server and streaming the video back to you.

Yes, I wish microsoft would clarify this.

But the HOTAS 1 IS supported. Grant you, it is configured wrong.
