yea it happened to me once too. Or better said twice in the same flight. But it only wrecked my gear not the entire plane. It seems to happen with some airports where elevation data is broken in some way. In the middle of photogrammetry areas there is sometimes photogrammetry morphing going on the taxiways and a taxiway may suddenly change in height or suddenly there is a step popping out of nowhere. When you are by chancy taxying over it when it happens, chances are high you break your gear or crash the plane.

Sometimes also it spawns you in a tree or in a building and the plane crashes instantly as you start the mission. Happened to me once, but not with my own plane.

Turn off crash detection. It didn't work well in 2020 either. YOU can decide when you crashed and should start over.
You would think in 2024 they would have a proper crash model by now like BeamNG.drive but no, anything that slightly touches you is instant death.
Sometimes there are faults/bumps on the ground but those are visible.

I know that when I leave the rwy right after landing and deaccelerate on the grass next to the rwy after a time it ends in a crash no matter if I was close to a stand still.

Wonder if there is an accumulation of overspeed time on grass so that it will lead to a crash due to an accumulated limit check..becaus eI have not seen anything in the grass and this happend twice to me.

Other than that I never had a crash on taxi way or grass next to the rwy. And no crash on any rwy too so far.

Another possibility is that the thread that does crash detection is different than the thread for the flight modeling. If that thread lags behind (and it probably does to some degree), then the problem being flagged will be well back of where you are when it actually puts up the crash notification. In this case, it is probably you leaving the runway at high speed.
