Career mode is unplayable
Just been flying for an hour and just about landed on the runway (why is landing so hard now), taxied down the taxi way and plane crashed. Why was this piece of junk released in this state ffs...

No clue, I've done countless flights and never failed a landing. Almost once, but I did make it with minor damage to landing gear. There was strong crosswinds.

Ok, I got it in December with the Game Pass, I state that I am a total noob and it is my first experience with a flight simulator but my career, although full of problems, is lot of fun. it's true so far it has happened to me:

spawn on the roof of a house (plane automatically destroyed)

missions with the first cessna that ask you to cross the alps (plane destroyed semi automatically)

airstrips at 45 degrees of slope or worse with a tree in the middle.

and I repeat the game is a lot of fun but since the grind is slow, losing progress for reasons totally unrelated to your behavior is frustrating, in short, fun game but certainly not worth the price it costs and it's a shame because it was a cleaner product I would buy it.

I've done around 500 missions (mainly in the PC12). I am at level 460 with 165 million in the bank and 14 aircraft.

Only once did the plane spawn on a roof - just press escape and abort the mission.

You can change the flight plan in the EFB before you launch the flight (just keep the departure and arrival airports the same as given in the mission) - so you don't have to fly over the alps. If the airport is high up in mountains, then don't do the mission in a cessna!

There are problems with the missions sometimes - you can't get taxi clearance, you start on the runway and get hit by a penalty etc. Just abort the mission and find another one.
Missions with the 737 (and most big planes) are definitely bugged. PC12 medium cargo missions work and pay around a million per flight (just change the flight level with ATC before you launch the flight, ask for lower heights en route or just cancel IFR)

I haven't done nearly 500 missions, but I've never spawned on a roof or had a failed mission/flight. I did have one that guided me into a hanger. I parked outside it and collected the ding. I also had a one give me a runway going up a hill in the Cessna 172 into a mountain side so I had to take off going the other way a took a minor ding for that.

There's certainly bugs, but it's also enjoyable.

I've never been dinged for taking off in the opposite direction on the runway! Sometimes it makes sense to do this if the wind doesn't matter.

My memory could be off. I'm pretty sure I did, but also, I was expecting it. You're right though, one of the bugs is that it does occasionally tell you to take off with the wind.

For those still interested, my aircraft performance was terrible due to my joystick set up. I went into windows controller calibration and realised my rudder axis was only moving in one direction. Quick fix, I simply set the driver to default and everything is peachy.
The fuel bug is there, and trying to fly 190 miles on 9% fuel is ridiculous. My solution (early in this post) is to use a key bind to add about 20% fuel to your tanks and works like a charm. I have learned to lean the engine to extend range ,which is fun, but this is not always enough.
The rudder issue may have been causing the crashes on the taxiway.
Anyway, I have flown several missions ferrying VIP`s in the Vision Jet and creds are stacking up nicely. Superb game, when it works...

That really sucks...
It's just so strangely buggy. One day everything will work perfectly fine. The next day for no reason the EFB won't update with any route info unless I reboot. Or other days, like right now, I'll be transitioning to another screen and it just loops. I think this mostly server-side architecture has ruined the game.

**Edit** and now not only have I lost that mission progress but now I try to restart the game and it just randomly crashes. I've been trying my best to deal with stuff on this game but I'm done for now. Terribly disappointing after FS 2020 which I thought was an amazing product. I don't know what happened here but this is just a flat out bad job. Hope they get their act together but I'm not confident. Uninstalling for now.

Man, I don't know what everyone's doing wrong or I'm doing right, but I never have crashes. I had two crashes due to a driver update. Doing a clean reinstall of the driver fixed those. I had one crash the very first time I loaded the Boeing 787. After that, none.

I really wish there was some way to figure out if there's some hardware causing it because I'm looking to upgrade soon and clearly some poeple's machines are having some real issues.
