MSFS24 Aerial firefighting with friends

This is a pretty straight forward question
Me and a friend would love to do co-op firefighting either each of us in tankers/helicopters or one of us in a spotting aircraft with the other in a tanker

Aside from that is the firefighting in the game actually any good?
I heard its just a basic mission type with not alot of depth in it ie no spreading and just 1 point that you have to hit with water
But im not sure cause its kinda hard to find any information about it

So funny, when you play this game a lot, and then see this videos, or watch some live streamers at an airport, you start to recognize a lot.

This is another video i like kinda showcasing the spotting aircraft i mentioned
The smaller aircraft is basically just a beacon for the large tanker to follow as a safe route in low visibility which sounds fun as a co-op situation for us

Fire missions with the Air Tractor AT-802, these can be done in one go. I every time get an S score when doing these missions in Employee and Freelancer mode.
It is nice to do few times, but it wont give much credits. I just use the plane for passive income.


The big plane and big fire, the Viking Air CL-415, I did the mission in Employee. With the big fire you have (0/7) attempts. So you need multiple tries and refill water.
You can get it in 3, 4 or 5 tries if I remember, so (5/7), if you hit a perfect every go, thats what I do.

Also with the small plane, as soon as I drop the water, and the fire is not out, or almost out, I just restart, and keep on restarting until I got that perfect drop.
(this way you learn it the best way, just keep on retrying until you get these perfect drops, also with the big plane, If I got 2 perfect drops and the last one was bad, I restarted, I only want perfect runs, you know, we go for the top, but I'm a gamer, it is up to you of course if you wanna play like this)

So with the big plane, you need 4 or 5 perfect drops and you can/ are able to finish the mission.
I can imagine other people need 7/7, but you can do it 5/7, no need to do 7/7. If you manage to get perfect waterdrops like I do every time, you get it faster, but not everybody can do that, i can imagine that other people struggle with these missions :p


You can see how well you dropped the water, as soon as you drop the water you can see the bar fill up. The better you drop the water, the more it fills up.
So with the small plane it is possible to extinguish the small fires in 1 drop.
With the big plane you get big fire and need multiple drops.

But yeah, it is still cool to do these, also the big plane, the refill process, filling up water and get airborne :) you will get the hang out of it.
