how to make money in career mode?
I'm only level 16 but only making 500-600 credits a flight, is there a way to make more on these flights or is that the way it's set-up to go?
Looking ahead at what all the licensing will cost means I'd be flying 100s of missions before affording all of them.

Once I hit target altitude I always skip and just go right to the landing. Do you earn more if you fly the entire flight?

So, first you have to go through the grind like the rest of us. But don't panic. You'll only need a few hours/days until you have enough money for a Circus Vision Jet. With this jet, even skipped flights, including live weather and weather bonuses, you'll get around 750k to 1 million per flight. Keep doing this until you can buy a Cessna VJ4 for 20 million. If you're not into business flights, cargo flights work well too. Always remember: the bigger the plane and the farther the destination, the more money you'll get!

You get a lot more if you don't skip. I get about 100000 - 200000 cash per light transport mission depending on the length. If I skip I might get somewhere between 10000 - 30000.

If you don't yet have a company of your own, you should start saving up your money. I believe it will unlock once you have around 24000. Once you have your own company you earn a lot more.

I guess you are still doing Employee missions and not Freelancer. As soon as you can get your first company and start freelancing, you get more credits.

This is the video I saw and then I started doing this to grind credits back then:

This still works, also flying the 737.

Here are my stats for now:

Funny thing, I updated my Nvidea card, and since then the table in the Headquarters is invisible .. very weird.

Sadly when flying whole missions, I always get errors/ failures, so I'm getting punished for doing the whole flight.. So for me this is the way to play for now and grind as much credits I can.

Another example:
If I stand in front of the plane 737 and I press SHIFT+C (LB+B on my controller) to enter the plane and then do the boarding etc. I can watch the animation of the boarding etc.

BUT
If I manually walk to the 737 and enter the door and then do the boarding, I always get an error/failure, the mission ends.

But funny is, when I walk manually to the door and open it, and then skip, I always get 99%. So in the end it ain't that bad, cause you can skip the boarding stuff and still get 99%.

So now I get every mission S score with skipping and getting good amount of credits.

Are you going 36000ft? I put 30FL / 3000 FT in the EFB, so after take off, you only climb to 3000/ 4000 FT and you are able to skip to descend and most of the times you get perfectly alligned for the final approach and do the landing.
You can skip talking to ATC, but you will get less %, but still able to get B and even A score.
Wanna get the S, you will have to manage to most important ATC conversations and then you can skip, always make sure you get the check mark and then skip. Also when reaching the cruise altitude, talk to the passsengers and let them know and then skip etc.
After landing go to hold, sadly sometimes hold just changes and you get penalty, but then just skip, this happens sometimes, I don't know why.

So yeah it is buggy, you will get errors and failures.
time vs reward ratio, I can complete missions with the 737 within 6 minutes and get 8-16 million per mission, depending on bad weather bonus.

just made another video how I do it, it is the 737, but this is just to show how. this should be able also with the cargo mission.
Thanks for all the info/advice
I'll keep grinding until I can start my own business and go from there.

Thanks again

just remember the first plane you buy, it should get discount., so think about which one, which company you start first.
So I just have to run a small sight seeing business until I rack up enough cash to buy the bigger planes
