We need a download manager outside the game! Maybe even a PowerShell module will do until a GUI-Tool is ready to launch. But Downloading several 100 Gigabytes while running the game in the background? That is such a huge waste of energy costs and GPU runtime!
Or even better: Provide offline installers and URLs for those packages so we can download them from anywhere and keep a copy on a backup harddrive so all me need to download after a clean install is updates.
You say less blurries in vr? Wich vr set are you using?
I got Quest 3 with virtual desktop and before SU2 i had already smooth performance, but my graphics looked very sharp.
I used the beta of SU2 and already noticed more pixelated textures of the scenery and plane, but i tought that it would be resolved when out of beta.
So i uninstalled the beta, and everything looked perfect again.
Unfortuniatly SU2 brought me the more blury and pixelated screen i was afraid for.
Was using Ultimate setting before SU2 and must use now Godlike setting and altough it looks a bit better, its still not as close as pre SU2...
Used to get all kinds of ship and air traffic popping in late also, and that's greatly reduced now. Has are some scenery loading related stutters I previously used to experience around specific locals.
These issues used to improve or worsen in relation to time of day, getting worse during high internet traffic times, so I've always blamed it on the heavy traffic generated by living near a very large city, but never really tested the theory. It's possible bad shaders where involved also, has well has the fact that I have numerous "unverified" 2020 eye candy addons installed that may or may not be 100% working.
Downloading speeds for all of this varied throughout the process, but the main slow down was having to start over a few times for CTDs, which would corrupt the most recent downloads. The sim remembers where you left off, but it took a few starts from scratch while I figured it out. I didn't pay too much attention to speed overall though.
