You know, I hated the idea of streaming it when it first released, but through using it, I've grown to see it's advantages which are in fact undeniable. Now I'm glad it streams and want more games to stream in this way.

SU3 is available for me through the insider program. It's working a bit buggy, and I had to start over a few times for CTDs, and resulting corrupt installs, but I installed pretty much "everything". Addons and all ended up being about 600GB. It took hours, but I am very, very pleased with the result so far. Flying VR is now a much smoother experience, with less pop up, and my issues with blurries is almost totally gone. I doubt there's any significant FPS increase overall, but it feels like it, just because it's so much smoother now.

This is awesome! Being forced to stream everything is as bad of an Idea as being forced do download everything. Choosing how much you want to download almost seamlessly up to 500GB and streaming the rest sounds like the perfect way to go but...

We need a download manager outside the game! Maybe even a PowerShell module will do until a GUI-Tool is ready to launch. But Downloading several 100 Gigabytes while running the game in the background? That is such a huge waste of energy costs and GPU runtime!
Or even better: Provide offline installers and URLs for those packages so we can download them from anywhere and keep a copy on a backup harddrive so all me need to download after a clean install is updates.
So hows the downloading speed?

You say less blurries in vr? Wich vr set are you using?
I got Quest 3 with virtual desktop and before SU2 i had already smooth performance, but my graphics looked very sharp.
I used the beta of SU2 and already noticed more pixelated textures of the scenery and plane, but i tought that it would be resolved when out of beta.
So i uninstalled the beta, and everything looked perfect again.

Unfortuniatly SU2 brought me the more blury and pixelated screen i was afraid for.
Was using Ultimate setting before SU2 and must use now Godlike setting and altough it looks a bit better, its still not as close as pre SU2...
Quest 3, with virtual desktop here also. The blurries I refer too primarily used to occur on photogrammetry on initial load, or when approaching near high density photogrammetry scenery. Scenery would be slow to appear, starting with blurry textures, and low LOD, then slowly increase to the expected quality. Once everything loaded in, everything was fine, but it sometimes took minutes to get there.

Used to get all kinds of ship and air traffic popping in late also, and that's greatly reduced now. Has are some scenery loading related stutters I previously used to experience around specific locals.

These issues used to improve or worsen in relation to time of day, getting worse during high internet traffic times, so I've always blamed it on the heavy traffic generated by living near a very large city, but never really tested the theory. It's possible bad shaders where involved also, has well has the fact that I have numerous "unverified" 2020 eye candy addons installed that may or may not be 100% working.

Downloading speeds for all of this varied throughout the process, but the main slow down was having to start over a few times for CTDs, which would corrupt the most recent downloads. The sim remembers where you left off, but it took a few starts from scratch while I figured it out. I didn't pay too much attention to speed overall though.
