I have taken a liking to 2024 over 2020 myself. 24 seems to have better graphics, a better menu system, and career mode. I like the live weather better in 2024 as well. 2024 also has hot air balloons and a blimp too. You can't fly a blimp in 2020 lol
I 2nd that motion. I like 2024 more.
Thus far....2020
Maybe i'll prefer MSFS 2025 when it releases in working condition...
2020 all the way.
2024 is still rusty and has many problems and conflicts still.
I played them side my side the other day and apart from being able to walk around the aircraft it basically looks the same.
Just add some mods to 2020 and you've got the same thing.
2020 requires a ♥♥♥♥ ton of hard drive space, while 2024 demands fast, strong, preferably unlimited Internet.

I definitely prefer 2024, but I'm not convinced it's the best for a rookie pilot.

You might be able to fly a blimp in 2020 as a mod. You definitely could in FSX, but it was the saddest aircraft imaginable. Nothing ruins your day like flying the world's saddest blimp.

I had never touched a flight sim (outside of full cockpit flight training sims) in my life. Which makes me a rookie to the home flight sims. I bought 2020, and absolutely hated it. Bought 2024, and loved it from the start. I don't know why you keep pushing 2020 so hard, it's really not as good in any category. It's flight models are broken, and it's empty. It's nothing but free flight and a handful of challenges. There's nothing to 2020. For what you're going to pay for either edition, 2024 is the better choice simply because it has so much more content, and it's flight models actually work. (post su1 that is LOL!) Everything is better in 2024.

All that being said, 2024 does need a very good high speed internet connection and a decent cpu. Gpu isn't as important in 2024. 2020 on the other hand, still needs a decent cpu, but also a good gpu, a very fast ssd with a lot of space probably about 2tb would be best, and you STILL need a good high speed internet connection because you'll have to download every single component to 2020. A couple hours even on fiber. You probably can't get it all done on starbucks or your neighbors free wifi. 2020 is huge. And all that ssd writing will shave a few points off it's health.

MSFS 2024 loves VRAM and a lot of it.
