There is an addon called Seasons Enhanced that fixes this sort of stuff. It's very much worth it.

Why would or should anybody put more money into something that's broken?
And why would anybody want to install a (pay for) dlc onto a broken foundation? If the foundation of your house was broken you wouldn't put money into adding on another room would you? You really shouldn't until that foundation is fixed.

No addon or dlc is going to fix the core problems in this game. That's up to the developers to accomplish for us. Then, and only then, should there be talk of addons and DLCs.
