Ok. Maybe that's that.
Read somewhere something about they request different altitudes ?
Is this true? Does this even makes sense???
If it is true then I can't fly those mission.. I fly afk mostly
Careful with the PC12 with altitude I don't think the cabin pressure bug has been fixed yet, so keep at FL180-200, I just had the case with it.
Also flew the PC-12 once after the patch and there the oygen worked too if you activate it as much as I can tell. But this I can't say for absolutly sure only tested it once with that aircraft.
Airport emergency change....
Hmm there was an issue with the destination airport.. it didn't wanted to let me land..said closed at the moment or something... no idea... but the mission state didn't tell me anything so I ignored it and landed there.
But I say that mission is nothing for me.. seems to be one you have to stay in the ockpit all the time. A pity liked to see some life a patient and passengers in the aircraft. Even walked in the aircraft during the flight and tryed to have a chatt with them.
(*) well the display is not working but working as it that it will not fail or end the mission or give any negative score
Doesn't seems to be the cause.
Made sure to turn with a banking way below any normal banking Maybe 10 deg and had climb at 2000 ft/min fix and descend at 1200 ft/min and set autopilot to DirectTo Destination to avoid it from flying any turn...
Yet the "Medical Procedure Compliance" was 25%
The only thing in the briefing info was to transport it fast which I have done.
(I've seen there are missions where the patient has breathing issues and on those you have to change the altitude)
The ATC com on this flight was a bit bad. I missed to call for IFR in time right after take off.
And at destination I couldn't land on the RWY the Tower wanted me to and there was no Option in the manual ATC menu to change the RWY to land from the oposite rwy (wind and terrain..a valley!)
Also the RWY was only 800 meter which made it required to touch down early. Hench a little complain about the touchdown score 53% although it was still a considerable soft normal one. But was required I could just manage to stop at the very end of the RWY.
Soo..still no clue what goes into that “Medical Procedure Compliance” metric.
Compared to medium cargo this is a lot harder to get a normal reputation and it pays a lot less (half with all the bonus)...
The only advantage is it feels nicer to fly with some passengers you have to "care" about.
I now got a 100% score while flying fully on autopilot with an up to 4000ft/min initial climb and several bankings between 8 to 15 deg and a final banking with 200 knts IAS and 30 deg!
But the difference.. I did not cancle IFR for once... and I stuck with the Mission ATC and prayed it would guide me right.
There was one instance where the Mission stated to stabelize the plane ..but it was on crusing altitude and flew a maybe 3 deg banking... so I ignored it.
My theory right now is that this Medic Mission can only work with the IFR Mission ATC and if you cancle IFR ..it simple will fail (the score) because it isn't able to tell you what to do.
Oh and I did a kiss landing but it gave a 70% score only..
It might be this is eighter a very very difficult limit or it is because the Rwy's aren't flat and the plane tend to do a micro air jump on small bumps in the rwy an effect of a secondary touch down.
Wired mission scoring.
They really should let us know what the metrics of those scores are.
Do you get such score with all medic aircrafts ?
Only fly the PC-24 in Medic.
They say fly gentle.. but maybe this contributes to the Patient Health Score? Although that one was always 100%
I don't understand the scoreing. It was the only flight I did get 100% and I didn't care about climb and banking just flew it normal and if there wasn't that one 180 deg sharp turn at the end I had said if you bakn normal say up to 15 deg is fine...
But from that one flight it seems even 30 deg is no issue for that scoreing.
Haven't done another Medic flight.. maybe I will. They IFR puts me a bit off.
I like flying IFR but only if I have the AI CoPilot answering the clals or if it doesn't matters if a acknowledge the request 5 min later.
But for this Mission it seems IFR com has to be on and you have to follow it to score in
“Medical Procedure Compliance”
Maybe test it? All I can speak from is from one such flight I got 100% score.
Likely there is a limit for banking and climb but probabily way higher than normal so that you can fly with normal autopilot.
Edit:
Have to add I was experimenting with the "bnk" Button on the autopliot which to my understanding should have limited the banking angle. So I truned it on and off to see if it limits the banking... but it didn't limit the banking angle for me.
Had it the most time on during the flight and mayb even on that sharp 180 deg turn.
The doc did not complain. But it was a 30 deg banking. I observed it. And it was on the final approach.
p.s. maybe it is more about turbolences and jerks..? so if you fly with heavy banking but smooth that is fine? This would make at least some more sense. Or it is all about the g's / accelrations.
Same thing normal Autopilot flying (didn't use the bnk button this time)
and staying in IFR Com.
It looks like when you rich the crusing altitude there is a second point requesting to stabilize the plane. This will not be shown if you cancle IFR after take off.
That climb altitude an dthat stabilize point likely are essential for this mission.
Wonder what happens if I cancel IFR right after that event passend...
Mean there is Alt-N to descend sooo might be all that is required to stay in IFR till end of the climb.
But the landing seems a though scvore.. again a kiss landing and only 73% score for the landing.
Funny there are medic mission where they expect you to land on a 300 ft rwy..how should that work out.. lol.
“Medical Procedure Compliance”
===========================
Can confirm it is IFR com and the banking is irrelevant. Had a complain for banking from the doctor mid flight and still got 100% score.
Seems you have to stay on IFR up to the crusing altitude and then follow the altitude of the Mission State as first priority.
As soon as you completed this and the stabelized point you can fullfill the ATC's altitude wish.
Don't ask me why Mission FL 300 is at a different altitude (baro) than the ATC com.
The ATC com sticks to the std baro setting. The Mission ATC sticks to an unknown baro setting. Doens't even fit with the local baro as it seems at least not the one you have set on take off.
Now to the next thing:
"Landing Smoothness"
===========================
I did an absolut kiss landing half way of the rwy I couldn't even tell when I touched down it was that smooth. Heard nothing and saw nothing visual. Result: 50% Score
Then I did a soft landing but not kiss right at the correct touchdown (the two big bars) point fo the Runway.. Result: 80% Score ..which was my highest score in smooth landing ever.
Sooo I wonder what it measures... doesn't seems to measure the vertical touchdown speed. Maybe it is more about hitting the exact touchdown spot? But I should have gotten 100% then.
Or maybe they made a mistake and it has to be say between 200 ft/min and 400 ft/min and if you touch down softer or stronger in gives a bad score?
Or there is a bug..and the touch down is measure maybe when on mission initial the ppl are boarding the plane drops the 1 or 2 foot to the ground.
It really is not obvious once again.
